Welcome to Qampanion ("we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy describes how the Qampanion macOS application handles information when you use it.

Qampanion is a macOS application that enables visual creation and execution of automated tests for iOS and Android apps using local simulators and emulators, without requiring coding skills or cloud services. The application operates locally on your Mac: your testing data never leaves your device.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide Directly to Us

Support Communication: If you contact us via email (e.g., support@qampanion.com), we collect your email address and message details to respond to your inquiry.
No Accounts: Qampanion does not require user accounts or logins. All testing data (test cases, steps, actions, screenshots) is stored locally on your device.

Automatically Collected Information

Usage Analytics: The app uses Firebase Analytics to collect basic usage events — for example, when a test case is created or a test is run. These events contain only feature-level information and do not include any personal information or any data you enter into the app (project names, test content, screenshots, API responses, or data from the apps you test).
Update Checks: The app periodically checks our update server for new versions. This check is anonymous and does not send any personal or testing data.

We do not collect screenshots, test results, or any data from the apps you test. We do not collect sensitive information such as financial details, health data, or precise location.

How We Use Your Information

We use collected information solely to:

Respond to your support requests.
Improve Qampanion's features based on aggregate usage statistics.
Ensure compliance with legal obligations.

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share information only in limited cases:

Analytics Provider: The usage events described above are processed by Google Firebase under their data processing terms. Firebase receives only these events — never your content or any data you enter.
Legal Requirements: If required by law, such as in response to a subpoena, court order, or government request, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

No data you enter into Qampanion (test cases, screenshots, test results, app bundles) is ever transmitted to us or to any third party.

Data Security

All testing data is stored locally on your Mac and protected by macOS built-in security features (file permissions, FileVault if enabled).
The application is code-signed with an Apple Developer ID, runs with Hardened Runtime, and is notarized by Apple.
Any network communication (usage analytics, update checks) uses HTTPS.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security, especially for information you provide via email.

Your Rights

Depending on your location (e.g., under GDPR for EU residents or CCPA for California residents), you may have the right to:

Access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you.
Object to the processing of your data.
Withdraw consent for data processing (though minimal data is processed).

Children's Privacy

Qampanion is not intended for children under 13 (or 16 in some jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware of such data, we will delete it promptly.

International Data Transfers

Qampanion is developed in Cyprus (EU). Usage analytics are processed by Google Firebase, which may process data outside the EU/EEA under appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses). Support emails are processed within the EU/EEA. No other data leaves your device.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy on qampanion.com and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of Qampanion after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
